Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil; Have you heard about it or maybe you have possibly used it in the past. I for one had never even heard about it until I started to see reviews and giveaways on other's blogs. I received a complimentary jar of virgin coconut oil and a wonderful book called “Virgin Coconut Oil: How it has changed people’s lives, and how it can change yours” about how it came to be, a bonus for the book would be that there are recipes.
It is no surprise around my house that I love to cook and bake, but what I love even more is searching for recipes that do not cost an arm and leg to feed my family. You guessed it! I found quite a few recipes that I wanted to try. I decided to make the Chicken Cacciatore and Mmm it turned out delicious.
At first glance the coconut oil is the consistency of shortening and many would wonder how they can call this oil. Ha Ha After heating it up it turns into a beautiful smooth oil with a lovely coco nutty scent. I am a sucker for that scent. I followed the directions to a T because since this was my first time (definitely not my last) cooking this dish, I did not want to mess it up. I not only served my family but also invited my friend and her 2 children to dinner. Just because there is a strong scent of coconut, you do not taste it within the food.

Coconut oil is not only used to cook with. In the book you can find all kinds of uses from health benefits to how it has changed people's lives for the better. I found the story of Virgin Coconut oil very interesting and informative. You can buy the book here

You can purchase the Virgin Coconut Oil here
