My 10 mth old and a little update..

We have had sickies in our house for the past couple weeks or so. Just when one child started to feel better the next child would start not feeling well. The 2 year old started it by having a major allergy attack to Fabreeze which landed us in the emergency room. After him, it was the oldest 2 turn, and then it happened. The baby got sick.
Saturday the 20th I was at the ER with the baby who was having a hard time catching his breath after coughing. Turned out he had RSV. They didn't really do anything while we were there, sent me home saying just give him Tylenol or Motrin to control his temp. We got home at 3am Sunday morning.

Sunday morning was the Susan Koman for the Cure El Paso in which I was participating. Even though I was exhausted I went and actually finished. So proud of myself!! The baby spiked a temp and we just could not get it to come down, so once again, off I went to the ER with him again. This time they actually did a few things. They did chest x-rays and did 2 breathing treatments. After that they sent us on our way again.

That leads to today, Ben had a follow-up appt. Today we were ordered a nebulizer, which I will hopefully pick up later today and I had to stop at the pharmacy and pick up the meds.

I also talked with the ped about a bump on the baby's face which over time has gotten bigger. I thought we would just get a ref. to a specialist. To my shock we were given a ref straight to the big guns. A ped surgeon! As much as I keep telling myself that I knew this was coming there is just something that hits you when you see the words PED Surgeon in reference to your 10 mth old baby.

Later today I will be giving an update on my 2 year old who had an eval with the PED neurologist. I also have to write up some posts with the great info I have and offer a few giveaways!!

My goal is to get all of these posts posted today, wish me luck.

  1. ugh, I am so worried about RSV. I am keeping my fingers crossed and knocking on wood that we see less ER visits this year. The last one was because my son got spray and wash in his eyes! sheesh
