Certain Dri Review and Givaway!!

Certain Dri Solid Anti-Perspirant is such a wonderful product. I enlisted my friends help for this review. She has tried the Certain Dri Anti-Perspirant Roll-on and was very interested in the Solid.
What she said: The Solid is much more convenient than the Roll-on while still offering the great protection of a Certain Dri product.
More about Certain Dri Anti Perspirant: Certain Dri Anti Perspirant has been the leading, dermatologist-recommended product for controlling excessive underarm perspiration for more than three decades. That is a wonderful record!! The new solid is the strongest, providing up to 72 hours of protection and available over-the-counter at stores nation wide.
Buy it!!: Certain Dri Solid is available for $5.50 -$5.99 in supermarkets, mass market retail, and drug stores nation wide.

Win It!!! One of my lucky readers can win 1 container of Certain Dri Solid.
Here's How: Go to Certain Dri and come back and tell me something you learned. Remember to leave your email address so I can get in touch with you if you win. Giveaway ends 11/30

Stocking Stuffer Idea!! Soft Lips Review and Giveaway!!

Are you looking for a little something to have Santa add to those stockings? SoftLips lip balm comes in little cute tubes perfect for tossing in a stocking, purse, or pocket. I had the opportunity to try out a few different types.

As soon as I opened the box (which I really should not do surrounded by the kidlets) my 2 oldest listened as I read off the names and each took possession of a package. Blake didn't want anything too crazy, so he chose cherry and Natalee who LOVES lip balm went for the sugar plum berry. Now just for some info, we live in El Paso Texas and it is always dry here (even when it rains) so we constantly have lip balm on. SoftLips did not let us down and not one of us had any dry cracked lips.

SoftLips has a Winter limited edition line out right now. The lip balms in this line have SPF 20 lip protectant/sunscreen and come in some really great flavors. They also come in 2 packs which is so convenient. I was able to try the Vanilla, Winter Mint, Cherry (my son's favorite), Sugar Cookie (before my daughter snagged it), Sugar and Spice, and Sugar Plum Berry(my daughters' favorite). All of them are wonderful and have just the right amount of scent. Softlips Lip Balm with SPF 20 offers superb coverage and protection from the environmental elements (such as the wind here in El Paso), as well as a healthy sheen without the heavy waxiness or stickiness of traditional lip balms.

The second line I was able to try is the PURE line, which is Organic and again just amazing. I was able to try peppermint (my favorite), papaya, chai tea, honeydew, acai berry, and pomegranate. SoftLips PURE is the line of premium organic lip conditioners designed with skin-conditioning ingredients to help keep lips soft, supple, and healthy. Softlips PURE is USDA-certified organic and 100% natural. It also contains no animal by-products and is not tested on animals.

How to buy: Ranging from $2.99 to $3.99 Most flavors are available at your local Target, Walgreens, and many other stores.

The Giveaway!! One very lucky reader will win either the 4 limited edition Winter Flavors or the PURE Flavor set, your choice!!
How to enter: Go to SoftLips and have a look around, come back and tell me which of the flavors you would love to try. Make sure you let me know which Flavors you would want, either the Winter Flavors or PURE Flavors, if you won. As always please make sure to leave your email address, so I have a way to get in touch with you if you are the winner.
Giveaway ends 11/30
Good Luck!!

For the love of Thomas!!

Dustin has found a new friend and his name is Thomas or train or choo choo. HaHa I walked into the living room a little bit ago to find the above picture. I have to give a shout out to the creators of Thomas and his friends. Dustin is on the autism spectrum and Thomas along with his friends have kept D a little calmer. Recently some of Thomas' friends came with us to Pizza Hut. As long as Dustin had a train in one hand, he would eat with the other. I was a proud mommy.

Some people look at him crazy while he is running the trains along the edge of the table and repeating "choo choo" over and over, but you know what I don't care what others think anymore. We have to learn to adapt to any situation that may present itself and I am extremely happy that my son has found a love for Thomas and all his friends.

Believe it or not but even other Thomas and friends products help Dustin. I went out and bought him a pair of Thomas Pjs to wear during his time with a babysitter (which doesn't happen often) I believe just wearing them helped him get through the few hours.
When people come over to my house they can expect that a Thomas DVD will be in the DVD player at all times, they will also find trains in every room, and I can't forget the sounds they will here. (Choo Choo)

There are so many different friends for Thomas. Take a look and buy a few for a child in your life. HitHopUSAThere you can also find DVDs, Books, and so many other useful Thomas products.

You can also find Thomas items at your local, Walmart, Target, and other fine stores.

This was not a review persay, just my observation of what is going on in my own house.

Permission Slips Review and Giveaway!!

Sherri Shepherd goes author!! You most likely have watched her as a Stand-Up Comedian, watched her as a film, and of coarse television actress and Not to mention you must have seen her as a co-host for The View. Now you can read her hilarious and painfully honest memoir. Seriously, Permission Slips is an amazing book!!

In this book Sherri shares her struggles, triumphs, and everything she has learned along the way. Have you ever felt guilt about missing an event, a phone call, or just running out of time in your day, well brush that guilt away; Sherri will save the day by letting you or rather telling you how to write yourself a permission slip. Just like in school when you were late and had to go get a slip from the office, you can give yourself permission to miss that phone call, be late for a not so important meeting, or even permission to take a much needed long relaxing bath.

I cannot list just one favorite part of this book, but the sections that stand out for me and had me nodding my head in agreement the most are labeled Family, Mom, and Finally, a "good guy". Just think those are all in the beginning of the book and there are so many other places in this book that I could list.

So who wants a copy of this wonderfully amazing book? I have 3, count them 3 copies to give away to some very lucky readers from Hachette Book Group.

What do you need your permission slip to say? Let me know in a comment to enter this giveaway. Oh and don't forget to leave your email address in your comment also. I would not want to not have a way to contact you if you win. This giveaway will close on 11/25. Good Luck!!

Thank You to Hachette Book Group for providing me with the book to review and for allowing me to offer 3 of my readers to enjoy this book.

It actually is the little things...

This past couple of weeks I have learned that, that old saying It's the little things in life that make a difference holds true.
The smile upon the baby's face when he is starving and has a full yucky diaper melts my heart. It is like he is on a schedule and every morning I am presented with a hungry baby, who is slowly stinking up the room, but with this full bright gummy smile on his face.
The white board that is now hanging in the dining AKA classroom. I love it!! I can write assignments on there, to do lists, and anything else that the kids need to know. Right now there is a promise written on there. It reads: Natalee is cooking dinner tomorrow night. Yes, my 6 year old wants to cook with just a little help chicken and rice for the family. How sweet is that?!
The bobcat patch; the patch to start all patches in Cub Scouts. It is just a small diamond shaped patch, but boy did it light up my child's face when he was standing in front of his den and was handed his patch.
Thomas the train: My 2 year old's new obsession. I love to watch him interact with the 2 of 5 DVDs that actually work. While watching he sets up his own track and gets all his trains (handed down to him from my 8 year old) and spends continuous hours playing.

Well that is all for today as I have to get my behind to bed. I leave you with this question; What are some of the small things that you have learned?

Can You Define Yourself With A Scent?

Over at TwitterMoms we were asked a fun question by Downy; If you could define yourself with a scent, what scent would represent you and why?

This was actually quite hard for me since I feel as though I am just your basic everyday type of person. Then it hit me, I am most referred to as Old Fashioned, so what are some old fashioned scents?

To me old fashioned scents come from the kitchen. The wonderful smells coming from the kitchen that bring me back to my childhood. The scents that I came up with are: Cinnamon, apple pie, vanilla, and sugar cookies. Out of those I feel that vanilla is the scent that represents me the most. Vanilla to me in a basic everyday scent and it fits me to a tee.

What scent could define you? Let me know!!
