She has some amazingly beautiful items for sale in her Etsy shop. Things from bags to quilts. I chose 2 bags and a cup wrap to use my certificate on. The mini bags are simple and so well made. As soon as I opened the package I could see all the love come pouring out. Each bag had something inside of it that would keep it open and tissue paper surrounded the items.

I had went to the mailbox on my way to the store, as soon as I got there I quickly took out one of the bags and switched over a few things. Jumping Fun!!!

The D-Man having a blast!!

I recently had the opportunity to do a review for  CSN Stores. It took me longer to choose what I wanted to review then it did to receive the package after putting in the order. Amazing!!

I received a $40 gift certificate code to be used toward anything in any of the 200+ stores. I had it down to 2 choices. LOL A water play table or a mini trampoline, as you can tell from the title of this post, i chose the trampoline. I made my choice after my 3 year old decided taking all the cushions off the couch and than jumping on the couch was something fun to do.

Seriously I ordered it one week and by the next week it had arrived. I think I am still in shock about that..

We of coarse put it together as soon as we could. My Husband had plenty of help. Ha Ha

The trampoline came in a bunch of pieces, but was pretty easily put together (even with extra little hands helping). For us the trampoline has a dual purpose. Not only is  it a great form of exercise, we also use it as a part of my 3 year olds therapy. He has Autism and he LOVES to jump. So I use it for both fun times and working times.
D-Man helping the Hubbyman
Mr. Smiley helping..

Lots of hands make putting together things a lot of fun.
If you have a child that likes to jump, head over to CSN Stores and check out the many trampolines they have. Don't forget to look at the other various stores they have there. Really, you can find anything you may want or need within CSN Stores.  I know we have a list of things to buy, next up will be a bean bag chair as that can be used also for fun and therapy time.

I have a feeling I will be getting Christmas shopping done within the next few months and everything will come from CSN Stores.
I had to add this pic. LOL Sometimes the Hubbyman does look at the instructions!!

I received a gift certificate to be used from CSNstores frre of charge. The above opinions are my own and I know not everyone will agree with. Thank You again to CSN Stores!!

Are your children excited about Summer reading?

I know for many kids getting them to pick up a book during their summer vacation can be something that is hard to do. TwitterMoms and Harper Collins want to know How you get your children excited about Summer reading. Go to the TwitterMoms discussion page to learn more or sign up for the contest.

For my children learning doesn't come to an end when school is out for the summer. We home school year round and this summer is no different. My 7 year old finally is taking the chance on reading. I am not sure why but before this school year she just had no interest in learning how to read. Now I can not get her away from books!

When the summer season starts, my children all ask to race to the library on post to sign up for the summer reading program. Tomorrow is that day here when we will all load up in the vehicle and head over to the Library. They are already planning the trip. Ha Ha

Some tips to get the children excited about reading:

1. Let them choose the subject! If they are not interested in the books they are less likely to want to read. For example my then 8 year old chose books about cats or with a cat as one of the characters (big or small) for all his books that counted for last summers reading program.

2. Get magazines in the child's name! We get 3 different magazines through out the year. One for each of the oldest 3 in the family. The kids LOVE them and will quickly snag them and start reading them as soon as I walk in the door from taking a trip to the mailbox.

3. Be a good example! This is the best tip that I have. My children have grown up watching me read books, magazines, and even the newspaper. They have also been read to every night (only missing a few) since the day each of them was born.

4. Find a local Summer reading program! This is something that we do as a family every summer. I love that our local post Library offers this program to children as young as 2. My now 3 year old LOVED being able to participate last summer.

5. Make the perfect reading spot in your house! Although my children LOVE to read outside as it opens their minds up, living in Texas is just too hot out most of the Summer days. So to help them we make up a reading spot inside the nice cool house. We lay out a blanket, add some big pillows, and have a basket for their books. This not only gives them a wonderful place to read, it also keeps all the books contained to one area.

What are your families doing this Summer? If you have some tips, Please share, I would love to know how you get your family reading during those hot summer months.

I wrote this blog post while participating in the TwitterMoms blogging program to be eligible to get an "I Can Read!" book. For more information on how you can participate, click here

Are you looking for Educational or any other type of toys?

As a Home School Parent, I am always on the look out for educational toys that can be used in my home in addition to our everyday home school items. There are plenty of companies out there as well as about a million products available for anyone to purchase.

In my search one day I came across a site. This site is very well organized and it was so easy for me to find exactly what I was searching for. The one thing I love about this site is they offer so much more than just educational toys. They even have a blog filled with great articles.

The name of this site is Growing Tree Toys.  I have already found so many items that I want to add to our collection at home.

Things like this!

or this

You can spend all day looking around and the best part seeing all the wonderful choices is so much fun!

Have a look around, I bet you can find a few things that are on your list..

Woman Beats Someone Else's Children At Chuck E. Cheese

Seriously this angers me!! The main part is that this "According to authorities, the fight broke out when an autistic 5-year-old boy was accused of spitting on a child." I feel that going to Chuck E Cheese with an autistic child is a great step for that child and family as many can't handle loud and crowded places in the first place.

I know that when we go my 3 year old stays pretty close to the table at all times, he is not ready to venture out to the play area just yet. But he does enjoy watching the kids and that is a big step for him.

What do you all think about what this woman did??

My box contained 2 Nature Valley Oats N Dark Chocolate bars, 2 Cocoa Puffs Treats, 2 bags of Hot Buffalo Bugles, 1 T-Shirt, and 1 travel mug.  Below find out how to enter a giveaway for the same pack that I received!!

I have to tell you a little bit about the yummy goodness parts of my package.
My Husband grabbed the Nature Valley Oats N Dark Chocolate bars as he left for work. He said the Dark Chocolate made all the difference and suggested we go out and get a box of them.
My 2 oldest devoured the Cocoa Puffs treats in about 2 seconds flat, so I can only speculate that they were good.
I took over the Hot Buffalo Bugles, growing up the original Bugles were a favorite treat for me. The Hot Buffalo Bugles quickly became another favorite from the Bugles line.

How do you rid your house of Dust?

I seriously need some help in this area. We found out that a few of my children are allergic to dust. Living here in El Paso is no help since on the windy days (like today) the kids can not go and enjoy the outdoors.

So give me your tips, product recommendations, and so on for keeping the dust down in your house.

I feel bad when we do leave the house on a semi windy day and end up having to give the baby a breathing treatment that night.

Sensory Friendly Films with AMC Entertainment

Amazing!! Having children with Aspergers and Autism this warms my heart. AMC Entertainment teamed up with The Autism Society and now offers a program which they are calling Sensory Friendly Films. Go here to learn more about the program.

During these showings it is ok for children to make noise and is encouraged for them to get up and move around. Also the lights are turned up and the sound is turned down.

I Love It!! Unfortunately I am not near one of the participating theaters, but I did want to share this with all of you.

AMC is also offering summer moviecamps, which are showings that are only $1 and discounts for the kid's combo at the concession stand. Click here to learn more..

I hope everyone has a wonderful summer!!

Do You Have A Honey Do List?

Now I live in Military housing but I can almost guarantee that if I did not I would have a Honey Do List a mile long. I dream of how I want my house to be (some day Hubbyman will retire) and certain rooms are high on my list. The bathroom for some reason is my most dreamed about room. I have it all in my head, I know what the bathroom vanity will look like. I figure I deserve nothing less than a double vanity at least in the master bathroom.

What is on your Honey Do List? What room or rooms in your house could use help?

I have worked with CSN Stores in the past, I did a giveaway and now I have another opportunity to work with them, so be on the look out for a review for a product from one of their 200+ stores. I love being able to go to one site and get all my shopping done.

Quick, easy, and amazingly simple...
